PDP in Filmmaking Visual Effects

This program on Professional Development focuses on the various aspects of Filmmaking, specifically Live Action, 3D Animation, and Visual Effects. The initial module is centered around Art, Design, and Composition fundamentals. Students will then gain a comprehensive understanding of Photography and Filmmaking basics. 

The second module encompasses CG Assets, Characters, Rigging, and Animation, all of which are crucial for creating VFX films. In the third module, students will delve into Dynamics and Tracking. Lastly, the fourth module combines CG elements with live action footage using timelines and a node-based compositing software. By the end of the program, students will develop a Visual Effects short film that incorporates both Live Action and CG.

Course Structure :

Semester One
Focuses on fundamentals of art and design, helping students build strong visual understanding, drawing skills, and thinking.
Semester Three
Introduces core elements of 3D animation, enabling students to model, texture, light, rig, and animate characters and environments.
Semester Two
Covers 2D classical and digital animation, including principles of animation, character movement, and storytelling techniques.
Semester Four
Exposes students to visual effects concepts, compositing, and production techniques used in films, advertisements, and digital media.

This program begins with a strong foundation in fundamentals of art and design, helping students understand visual balance, composition, color theory, and creative thinking. These basics are essential for building strong animation skills. Students develop drawing and perspective techniques to improve observation, depth understanding, and visual accuracy, which play a crucial role in character and environment creation.
